One month ago...

My mom, now referred to lovingly by Olivia as "THAT!" and dad, he just got the plain old "grandpa" despite his numerous attempts throughout his lifetime to go by such priceless gems as boo pa pa... came for a visit! And I know what you're thinking, how nice that they came to see, love, and adore you! It was just a convenient excuse. They really came to see her:
"Her" is actually my parents' best friend from our years in Korea. And I know what you're thinking, Olivia has an Asian boyfriend and you spent most of your growing up years on the continent and you can't spot an Asian to save your life?? No, she's not Korean, she's from New Zealand, people! My parents hadn't seen her in a decade or almost two so when she flew in for general conference they breezed into Utah for some QT with their favorite Kiwi.

But, have no fear, we still lived it up while they were here. Although you wouldn't know it because I've gotten painfully awful with my camera. But here is the single event I *do* have pictures of... I really *need* that cute camera purse for Christmas, Santa, PLEASE!

I'm about to go on a massive blog update extravaganza extraordinaire, so it would be best if you got accustomed to this park. We go there, well, frequently would be an understatement.
Olivia is obsessed with what ducks eat: bread. She will talk about it for HOURS at a time. "DUCKS, they EAT BREAD! ONLY BREAD!" And she honestly wants to go feed them every. single. day. And sometimes, when our bread supply allows, we do.
Olivia is also obsessed with their method of locomotion. She tells me every day that ducks fly AND walk. CAN YOU EVEN WRAP YOUR HEAD AROUND THAT ONE??

This is how Olivia insists on swinging after her accident. Whatever, right?
My parents also bought Olivia doughnuts where they discovered her table manners are not up to par. Hilarious, but ravenous at best.

Having my parents here was a much needed surprise! It's been a month but Olivia will still talk about THAT and Grandpa and requests to "chat" with them on the "compy-puter." That girl is a riot, seriously.
